His career average has crept past Tendulkar's and, as Amit Varma mentions, the fact that it does not seem to be an aberration is a measure of his greatness.

one more thing, after sunny gavaskar he has played the most consecutive matches for india - i think 93. that says a lot about his fitness as well.
also Dravid is striding into his 100th test quite like Inzamam-Ul-Haq, not limping into it like Mr Gavaskar...
...I would love to see him pick up a century at the Wankhede...
