Last year Novak Djokovic's image at the US Open took a beating with Andy Roddick, in particular, getting on his case. The fans got into it, too, during the tournament and a visibly annoyed Novak lost his cool. Since then he has been trying to make amends.
On Monday night, after easily beating Radek Stepanek, he went some ways towards building bridges by doing impersonations. Unlike last time when he picked on his contemporaries much to their dislike, this time he chose to imitate John McEnroe. What followed did more for his cause than anything else he could have done.
